Removal and installation of an intermediate shaft and its bearing

Below the description for 4-cylinder petrol engines is provided. Removal and installation of an intermediate shaft and its bearing on models with other engines is made similarly. On the petrol V6 models in addition it is required to remove a sleeve of cooling of the generator, and on the diesel V6 models – lateral and the bottom protective casings of an impellent compartment.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Cover wings protective covers and disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  2. To Poddomkratta the car also remove the right forward wheel.

4-cylinder engines

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Uncover a belt of a drive of auxiliary units.
  1. Remove the top cover of the engine and a collar of a tube of GUR.
  2. Insert a wedge between the pallet of a case of the engine and a stretcher and remove the top arm of the engine.
  3. By means of the special adaptation compress a natyazhitel of a belt of a drive of auxiliary units and remove a belt. Remove a natyazhitel (see. Head Engine).
  4. Turn out the top bolt of fastening of the generator (see. Head of System of electric equipment of the engine).
  1. Weaken a collar of a brake hose and fixture of electroconducting of ABS (10).
  1. Turn out a bolt (1) fastening of the lever of a suspension bracket to a rotary fist and beat out a hammer with soft brisk a power shaft from an intermediate shaft (12).
  2. Lower the lever of a suspension bracket and fix it in this situation by means of wooden whetstone, having established it between the lever and a rack of the stabilizer of a suspension bracket.
  3. Turn a wheel to the left for ensuring the best access to a power shaft and beat out it further away if it is necessary. Then pull for a rack of a suspension bracket and lower a power shaft on the suspension bracket lever.
  4. Give nuts of fastening of electroconducting of the generator and turn out the bottom bolt of its fastening. Clean the generator aside.
  5. Turn out bolts (20 and 15) fastenings of an arm of the bearing of an intermediate shaft (21 and 16), remove an arm with directing and take an intermediate shaft from transmission.

Thus oil will follow from transmission.

  1. Replace an epiploon of an intermediate shaft in transmission (see. Head Manual box of gear shifting).
  2. In need of replacement of the bearing fix a shaft in a vice and remove a small lock ring.

On diesel models remove the holder of the bearing and a lock ring.

  1. By means of the special adaptation выпрессуйте a shaft from the bearing, remove a big lock ring (only on petrol models) and выпрессуйте the bearing from an arm.
  2. Installation is made upside-down. Before shaft installation in transmission be convinced that it pure.
