General information, recommendations and security measures

Forward suspension bracket of Saab 9-5 cars independent, with Mac-Fersona racks, cross-section levers and the stabilizer of cross-section stability. Levers and the stabilizer fasten to a forward stretcher. Naves rotate in the bearings established in rotary fists. On early models it is possible to replace stupichny bearings separately, and on late models the nave and its bearing represent not folding block fixed on a rotary fist by bolts.

Back suspension bracket independent, with racks, longitudinal levers, the bottom and top cross-section drafts and the stabilizer of cross-section stability. Cross-section drafts and the stabilizer fasten to a back stretcher. Naves of back wheels with dvukhryadny bearings represent not folding knot and fasten to longitudinal levers hairpins and nuts.

Steering reechny, with the hydraulic booster (GUR). The pump GUR is given from a cranked shaft by a belt of a drive of auxiliary units. The steering column developing that increases safety of the driver at failure. GUR liquid moves the pump to the control valve which, depending on the direction of rotation of a steering wheel, directs liquid on one of the parties of the executive cylinder. In the cylinder liquid affects the piston, giving additional effort to the steering mechanism.

At performance of repair or service of components of a suspension bracket and a steering often there are problems with an otvorachivaniye of the "become attached" bolts and nuts. Located under the car bottom fixture elements constantly are exposed to external influences and over time are exposed to corrosion and partially collapse. Application of a brute force at an otpuskaniye of such "become attached" fixture is interfaced to risk of its damage. For a start moisten an element not giving in to an otvorachivaniye with a small amount of special getting liquid (WD40 type), having allowed it it is good to impregnate a rust layer. With a wire brush remove external deposits from available sites of carving surfaces. The fixture damaged in the course of an otpuskaniye is subject to replacement without fail.

As the majority of procedures described in the present Chapter is made on the car lifted over the earth, it is necessary to take care beforehand of options of its reliable fixing in the lifted situation, – prepare strong props. For a poddomkrachivaniye of the car use hydraulic jacks of podkatny type, – remember that the onboard jack entering into a standard complete set is intended only for a temporary poddomkrachivaniye of the car at replacement of the failed wheel. The hydraulic jack can be used also for posting of some components of a suspension bracket at performance of this or that procedure.

Work under the car withheld in lifted situation only by means of jacks is not allowed!
