System of additional safety (SRS)

In this section the general provisions concerning principles of functioning of SRS system are considered only. The detailed description of its components is provided in Head Onboard electric equipment.

Have no firm or sharp subjects between the body and safety cushions, do not transport firm or sharp subjects on a lap and do not smoke a pipe when driving since it can lead to receiving heavy to traumas at failure. For the purpose of prevention of risk of unauthorized operation of safety cushions try not to press hands to the locations of pillows and their modules. The locations of safety cushions are noted by "AIRBAG" inscriptions.

Arrangement of the SRS components

Into number of devices and components of system of additional safety (SRS) enter:

  1. Two lobbies and two lateral safety cushions. The module of a forward driver's safety cushion is placed in a nave of a steering wheel; the safety cushion of the forward passenger is placed in a special cavity in the right part of the dashboard of the car. Lateral safety cushions are placed in outer sides of backs of forward seats.

The safety cushion of the forward passenger is established not on all models.

  1. The sensors of the directed overloads working at strong front or lateral blows;
  2. Electronic system of self-diagnostics which at the included ignition provides continuous testing of sensors of overloads, the control unit, gas generators of pillows, пиропатронов emergency natyazhitel of seat belts and connecting electroconducting of the corresponding chains;
  3. The automatic emergency natyazhitel of the seat belts who have been built in in returnable devices of seat belts of forward seats;
  4. Control lamp of SRS in a combination of devices.

Principle of functioning of safety cushions

At weak face-to-face and lateral collisions, and also when capsizing the car of a safety cushion should not work.

Control lamp of SRS

The control lamp (To/l) SRS is built in in a combination of devices of the car (see. Section Governing bodies and salon equipment).
