General information

On cars described in the management the 5-step manual box of gear shifting (RKPP), or 4-or 5-step automatic transmission (AT) is established.

The transmission is placed in the cast aluminum case attached to the left end face of the block of cylinders. The structure of knot includes mechanisms actually boxes of gear shifting and differential. The model of a box is specified on a plate fixed on its case (see. Section transmission Identification). The case is equipped drain, jellied and control with the openings closed by jams.

Rotation is transferred from a cranked shaft of the engine through coupling knot to primary shaft of a transmission. Primary shaft is supplied with shlitsa on whom the conducted disk of coupling is established. From primary shaft on which there are all 6 gear wheels of transfers, rotation is transferred to a secondary shaft of RKPP on which conducted gear wheels of all forward transfers are located. All transfers are synchronized. From a secondary shaft rotation is transferred to a conducted gear wheel of differential. The gear wheel, in turn, gives planetary knot, satellites and power shafts. Free rotation of satellites on the axes allows an internal wheel to rotate when passing turns more slowly than the external.

At inclusion of a reverse gear the parasitic gear wheel enters into gearing between its gear wheel and external teeths of the coupling of inclusion of 1-2 transfers. Such design provides necessary decrease in speed of rotation and forces a secondary shaft to rotate in the opposite direction.

Primary and secondary shaft of a box are located in parallel each other, and also parallel to a cranked shaft and power shafts. Gear wheels of both shaft is in continuous gearing. On neutral transfer of a gear wheel rotate on secondary to a shaft freely, without transferring rotation to a conducted gear wheel of the main transfer.

Gear shifting is carried out by means of established on a floor of salon of the coulisse by means of the lever mechanism of a choice of transfers.

The drive consists of a set of forks of switching by means of which sliding couplings of synchronizers move along a shaft, carrying out blocking of gear wheels of the corresponding transfers. As naves of sliding couplings are equipped with the shlitsa entered into gearing with shlitsa of a secondary shaft, the gear wheel blocked on a nave starts to rotate together with shaft, providing a further drive with the corresponding transfer relation.
